Reporters Without Borders Award
DVB was recognized by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) as a 'Media that exemplifies the battle for the right to inform the public and be informed'. This award acknowledged DVB's exceptional courage and pivotal role in disseminating information during the Saffron Revolution.

'NÆ!' (Piglet Prize)
The Democratic Voice of Burma was the recipient of the 'Prisen NÆ!' (Piglet-prize), recognizing DVB for their ability to inspire others and critical coverage of the Saffron Revolution.

Rory Peck Award for Features
Two anonymous DVB journalists won this award for their courageous work documenting events in Burma under intense scrutiny.
